I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the Petroleum Contractors Trade Section (PCTS) of the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
Inaugurated in July 2008, PCTS is a private industry group comprising of major Services and Technology providers in the Oil and Gas Industry which came together to pool resources and make meaningful contributions, not only to the energy industry, but also the Nation at large.
Our member companies are reputable petroleum contractors whose contributions remain the bedrock of the life cycle – exploration, field development, production and decommissioning of the various oil and gas resources in Nigeria. Though made up of companies in diverse disciplines, we are collaborating in a coherent and synergetic way on important issues that affect us, and the industry.
The Chamber, as the representative organ of the business community, is a leading voice of the Organised Private Sector in Nigeria. It maintains regular consultations on policies and issues affecting business and the economy. Our role as a Section is not only to support the Chamber, but to also optimise the potential of the industry to continue being a critical contributor, not only to Nigeria’s GDP and foreign exchange earnings, but also maximising the potentials from its vast human capital resources. A significant percentage of the total labour force in the industry are employed by the Service Companies, and our commitment to knowledge transfer and deepening Nigerian content, means we are constantly investing in human capital in our individual and collective capabilities.
The Section also makes representations on issues of interest to its members, the business community, and government regulatory agencies. Also, our members have undertaken social projects in healthcare, supporting Nigeria’s response to Covid-19, as well the Business Coalition against AIDS. Our other projects supported Internally Displaced People (IDP) camps in Abuja, and the Nigerian Academy of Science.
Our member companies – some of which have been in the country for over five decades - are invested in the future of Nigeria, and are firm believers in the potential of the country to become one of the leading global economies. To achieve this vision, we are committed to contributing even more to the Country’s growth, and ensuring we create enough opportunities both directly and indirectly, for millions of Nigerians.Read More
